There are so many fine golf courses within Royal Deeside. Though not all are 18 hole courses, they are interesting to play and are surrounded by beautiful scenery. All the courses listed welcome visitors, so why not try them out.

Banchory Golf Club is a well established parkland course found only 100 yards from the town centre and built largely on the terraces of the river Dee.

Aboyne Golf Club is a characteristic and challenging course. Visitors are delighted with the contrast found in the Club’s two distinct halves, the front nine being a lush tree-lined parkland while most of the homeward section is rugged heathland. On the other side of the loch, a new 9 hole course has recently been opened at the Aboyne Loch Golf Centre.

Ballater Golf Club is one of Royal Deeside’s premier test. It seems flat and unassuming course from the first tee, but it has many subtle and disarming aspects. A good combination of length and understated challenges makes Ballater well worth exploring.
